PSAT/NMSQT Registration

Registration for the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) is open!

This optional test for 11th-grade students will be offered at Windsor High School on Tuesday, October 15th, at 8:30 a.m. It helps students receive feedback about academic strengths and weaknesses, enter the competition for National Merit Scholar scholarships, and prepare for the SAT. The cost of this exam is $25.

Online Exam registration is open now and will end Friday, September 6th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. To complete registration, students must answer all of the required questions. Registration is incomplete until students have printed the pdf of the confirmation page provided at the end. Please keep this confirmation for your records.

Assessments for All Students

COUNSELOR CONTACT INFORMATION

  • All 9th-grade students will take the PSAT 8/9 in April.
  • All 10th-grade students will take the PSAT 10 in April.
  • All 11th-grade students will take the SAT in April.
  • An optional PSAT/NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test) is offered in October for 11th graders.

If you would like to register for a national test date outside of Windsor High School, you can visit the ACT or SAT website.

Khan Academy - SAT Practice

The best way to practice for the SAT is now free for everyone. The College Board’s test developers and the online learning experts at Khan Academy® worked together to bring you Official SAT Practice.

Option A: Share Test Results

If you’ve taken the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, PSAT 8/9, or new SAT, share your scores with Khan Academy. It’s easy:

  1. Create a Khan Academy account.
  2. Choose to share your scores.
  3. Sign in to your College Board account and click Send.

Option B: Take Diagnostic Quizzes

If you don’t have scores to share, you can still get personalized recommendations. Just create a Khan Academy account and take short diagnostic quizzes to pinpoint your strengths and weaknesses.
